Let’s talk about Rep. Andy Smith, Rep. Kim Hicks and Senator Liz Bolden. Andy Smith has filed House File 3462, a bill to borrow $23,000,000 in Bonds to “Re-imagine” The Silver Lake Bridge. Rep. Andy Smith filed bankruptcy immediately after being elected my representative in 25B. How do you feel about a Carpetbagger like Andy asking you to lend him money? 25B does not need a Riverboat Gambler to run our area. The City Staff did not even tell City Council they were doing this.

School-board Member Karen MacLaughlin, and Candidate for OLMSTED COUNTY ATTORNEY, BUSTED! She has a JD, and wants to be top prosecutor in Olmsted County after leapfrogging from the ISD535, Rochester Public School Board.

FIGHTING AGAINST TAX REFERENDUMS
I have publicly fought and beat a tax referendum… I will also fight to keep all taxes low.
FRAUD, WASTE AND ABUSE
Committed and continually to work tirelessly to fight the fraud, waste and abuse of taxpayers money inside ISD535, city of Rochester and Olmsted County and inside the Minnesota State Department of Health and Human Resources. I also fight for fiscal responsibility, good stewardship and transparency inside the government.
TAX RELIEF AND REDUCTION + NECESSARY EXPENDITURE AUDITS IN 25B
Advocated for tax relief and tax reduction right along side the need for audits of government expenditures inside Olmsted County, The City of Rochester as well as the Rochester Public Schools. This included opposing property tax increases and the questionable practice of using TIFF Funds to incentivize foreign investment capital in Rochester.
SCHOOL BOARDS AND CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS
Attend and addressed community crime at School-board ISD535 and Rochester City Council Meetings…. I also continue the push for strong judicial sentencing and community oversight of RPD and Olmsted Sheriff’s Department.
AFFORDABLE ENERGY AND UTILITY RATES
Fought to oppose the endless rise and unfettered increase in utility rates at both RPU and Minnesota Energy (based in New York). Will explore all options to create good, affordable energy sources most important to businesses and working people of 25B and Minnesota.
ADVOCATE FOR AND APPOSED TO EXTRA TAXES ON SENIOR CITIZENS
Also vocally opposed the 24 Year sales tax extension and increase which discourages the business climate in 25B and also drives away consumers. Will continue to advocate for workers and taxpayers. Will seek ending the extra taxes on senior citizens. Seniors should NOT PAY ANY PROPERTY tax on their forever home residence, so they can live out their days in their own homes.
